13. Love that moves people
The people of the Grand Duke’s mansion waited anxiously all night.
After a long wait, the Grand Duke did not return until the next day, carrying the sleepy Grand Duchess.
“Your Highness the Grand Duke!”
Everyone was startled. They didn’t say anything, but at that moment everyone thought that the Grand Duke had killed the Grand Duchess by mistake.
Damian during the runaway was just that unstable. Otherwise, he wouldn’t bother building a secret and spacious dungeon in the Grand Duke’s mansion, using the time and money left over.
“Shh.”
But Damian was not soaked in blood. His mental state didn’t seem unstable, and his body looked perfectly human.
He had never been so normal in such a short amount of time.
‘Besides, this time he wasn’t feeling well from the beginning…’
Just how?
The question popped into everyone’s mind, but the Grand Duke only cherished and embraced the Grand Duchess wrapped in a soft blanket.
Even though he was barefoot in tattered clothes, he was taking good care of his wife, who had fallen asleep so deeply in his arms that she looked dead.
‘Perfectly like the usual Ladyship.’
Only then did the retainers of the Grand Duke’s family let go of any doubts and everyone let out a big sigh of relief.
Damian took Lilian to her bedroom. It was an unavoidable situation, and although he protected her as much as possible with his body, it was a stone floor without a single bed in sight.
Fortunately, Lilian’s condition didn’t look too bad as she slept peacefully, but he still wanted to put her to rest in a comfortable bed.
“Sir Ivan, are you going to send His Highness like this? There are things to report now…”
“Leave it alone. I know because I’ve been through it a lot, but when he’s like that, you won’t get anything by following His Highness and talking about work.”
It would be like peeking at the excessively private and intimate appearance of the Grand Duke couple and receiving psychological damage.
Head Butler Aaron was convinced by the reasonable explanation.
“It seems that Her Highness needs to wake up for this heap of affairs to be dealt with.”
“When was it not?”
Aaron and Mrs. Maureen nodded in agreement with Ivan’s plaintive words.
Since some time ago, the inside of this house had completely revolved around the Grand Duchess. This was possible because everyone was very satisfied with the current system of the Grand Duchess’ supremacy.

Fortunately, it wasn’t long before Lilian woke up.
It’s no exaggeration to say that she had been overworked all night, but she showed a very fast recovery rate for Lilian, who was no better than a piece of paper.
Anyway, Damian was holding his wife while she was sleeping and watching her wake up. So he watched as Lilian woke up joyfully, feeling that neither side was losing.
‘Um…’
As her head woke up, Lily frowned, as if she could feel the light gently brushing her eyelids.
‘Oh dear.’
How careless. He should have drawn the curtains.
Even though he was sorry, Lily, who frowned as she woke up, was so cute that he couldn’t help but smile.
“You seem to have woken up.”
In a voice mixed with laughter, he muttered to Lily. She seemed to be waking up.
Damian gently rubbed Lily’s brow and shaded her eyes with his hand.
Slowly, Lilian opened her eyes in the small, soft shade that Damian had made for her.
“Your Highness.”
It was a sleepy voice. Damian slowly removed his hand.
“…are you awake?”
The sun had just risen, making her unclear vision even more hazy.
That might be why. Damian’s soft, laughing voice seemed to tickle her entire body.
“It’s okay to sleep a little longer.”
When dealing with Lilian, Damian’s tone was kind enough to tickle people.
But this morning was more than usual.
‘There’s something ominous.’
But it was already too late.
Damian laughed and hugged Lilian even tighter. Lilian was powerless, and as Damian did so, she was dragged deep into his arms.
Her senses slowly returned. She began to feel ashamed of the feeling of touching bare skin. However, she could never express herself to Damian.
‘…it’s obvious that he’ll make fun of me by hinting at what happened last night.’
He was a man who showered Lilian with all the kindness and tenderness that should have been properly shared with the rest of the world. His humanity was deleted altogether, and instead, that much capacity was assigned to his love for Lilian.
However, the problem was that sometimes he wanted to see the person he loved embarrassed and impatient.
“Hmm, why is Her Highness, who is always calm, not making eye contact today? This Damian doesn’t know.”
…no, actually, it seemed to happen quite often, not just sometimes. Lilian finally sighed. This man is really.
“You’re teasing people since morning.”
“That’s because wife usually doesn’t get teased. A valuable opportunity cannot be missed.”
“Your lips are too close to my ears…”
“Are you itchy?”
Damian’s voice went down. It was a dense voice, like well-steamed milk, as if it were skillfully congealed. Lilian finally blushed as her lower back seemed to quiver.
Damian softly laughed. That laugh is somewhat…there’s something sensuous about it.
“It’s been a long time since I succeeded.”
With a needless desire to compete, Lilian answered, trying to keep her voice calm.
“You seem to be in a good mood.
“Of course. Actually, since last night, I…”
In the end, Lilian turned and blocked Damian’s mouth trying to cross the line.
“I can’t do it. Please shut your mouth for a moment.”
“Aight.”
Damian muttered disgruntedly in Lilian’s palm. Lilian shook her head sternly.
“For the time being, please refrain from talking about last night, last night was, was, whatever.”
“I don’t want to.”
Damian, who was obedient only when he felt like it, quickly refused. Lilian was stunned.
“Your Highness!”
Damian chuckled and pounced on Lily, kissing her on the mouth.
Rather than having any intention, it was just a kiss that distracted people like an excited puppy.
In the end, the dumbfounded Lily burst out laughing because he was cute.
It was a strange thing. Damian always looked out for Lilian, and was a person who crossed the technically drawn line.
He was a man who was overly sensitive when flirting with Lily, but this morning, Damian was much more free.
Like he let go of his obsession with being hated a bit.
Thinking so, the hateful feeling towards Damian disappeared. Lilian gently stroked the head of her husband, who was embracing her pitifully and lovingly.
Intoxicated by her gentle touch, Damian murmured.
“At that time, even in the barracks, you stroked me like this.”
“Yes?”
Lilian was a little surprised.
“Your Highness, I can’t believe you remember…”
“It happened.”
Damian’s eyes brightened. Come to think of it, the wound that kept bleeding around his neck had cleared up before she knew it.
Seeing that the wound has healed, it seems that the split soul has been restored. It seems like he also gained memories as a bonus.
“How…”
“I will love you like crazy for the rest of my life, don’t worry.”
Damian squeezed Lilian’s hand. Lilian was straightforward and pretty, even the bones of her fingers revealed her nature. Damian whispered as he kissed her with the meaning of adoration.
“It probably won’t be that much different from what it used to be.”
“…”
“Actually, I was a little crazy from the moment I met you.”
Calling this love might be a bit awkward.
But it was still love.

The concert was so messed up in such a huge way that few remembered the child who briefly followed the Grand Duchess that day.
It seemed that everything had been resolved in the dungeon, but in fact, it wasn’t. Starting from the raid, a pile of affairs from the outside world awaited the two.
“Duke Ghibelli is behind the attack on the Marquis Lannister, which is currently being pointed out externally.”
The Duke of Ghibelli, a similar case to the Duke of Blanchett, was a family that has recently achieved remarkable rapid growth.
As the new Duke of Blanchett, Ethan Schmidt, returned to the Crown Prince faction, Duke Ghibelli emerged as the new core of the faction that supported the Emperor.
“What about my second brother?”
“He entrusted the investigation to the Defense Knights.”
It meant that there was no will to properly investigate, let alone punish.
The Emperor spent seven years building up his power, led by Blanchett and the Duke of Ghibelli, to oppose the Electors. There’s no way that the Emperor, who had already lost Duke Blanchett once with his eyes open, would want to lose Duke Ghibelli.
Damian concluded as if there was nothing more to look at.
“Sooner or later, some small fish that I haven’t heard of will get caught for no reason.”
“Well, unfortunately, that would be the case.”
The ending of this case was easily predictable, but…Damian licked his lips.
But why?
Why did Duke Ghibelli attack Marquis Lannister in the first place?
“There are rumors that Duke Ghibelli’s subordinates found His Highness the Crown Prince in the Marquis family, but…”
“Did the Duke assume that I was at the concert?”
“It seems like that.”
Matteo frowned. That day, he rested in his mansion. He hadn’t canceled his attendance and had just sent a reply politely refusing to attend the concert.
If they looked closely, they would have noticed Matteo’s absence.
Then…
“Who gave Duke Ghibelli false information, so that the Duke believed it even without thinking of checking it?”
